Dr Sandhya Mujumdar is the Deputy Director, Medical Affairs (Clinical Governance) Department; Senior Specialist, Quality & Accreditation; National University Hospital (NUH); and part-time lecturer in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine (YLLSOM), Singapore. She is a trained paediatrician with a Master’s degree in Healthcare Management from the UK. She is one of the founding members of the Healthcare Quality Society of Singapore (HQSS) and has served as society’s secretary for 3 years.
She has helped to develop quality and safety framework in NUH. She oversees clinical quality/audit, risk management, patient safety, performance management, clinical pathways, case management, licensing and JCI accreditation in NUH. She has presented posters, given oral presentations and won many awards for professional excellence and quality and safety at national/international levels. She has published articles in journals and written a book on quality and safety for medical students and residents.
