Dr Gaurav Thukral is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (Acute and Pharma Services) of Health Care at Home India Pvt. Ltd. He has over 18-years of experience in the healthcare industry. Dr Thukral, with his enterprising vision, has been a driving force in heralding an innovation in this sector in the form of home healthcare.
Dr Thukral received his MBBS degree from Gandhi Medical College. He was further granted a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Internal Medicine. He was successfully practicing as an intensivist at Fortis hospital.
A winner of several prestigious awards and recognitions, Dr. Thukral is a certified National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) Assessor. He was awarded the first place in the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Heal Poster Presentation on ‘Capacity Building in HealthCare’ in 2015, the Patient Safety Conference in 2011 and the presentation on Clinical Audits at FICCI Heal in 2010.
Dr Thukral is a Six Sigma Green Belt holder from British Standards Institution (BSI) and FICCI Quality Forum. His interest, efforts and dedication in the field of healthcare has earned him the prestigious memberships of FICCI governing council member association, American Chamber Of Commerce in India (AMCHAM), Quality Council of India (QCI), API and Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM). He is also an active member of home healthcare group under aegis of NATHEALTH. He has 44 peer-reviewed publications in reputed national and international journals. He has also been invited as a speaker and guest faculty to well-known institutes including Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IHMR), Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), and industry bodies like FICCI and AMCHAM to name a few.
In his various roles as Medical Superintendent, NABH Accreditation Co-coordinator and State School Health Programme Champion, Dr Thukral has ceaselessly devoted his life and career to the improvement of healthcare standards in the country. His leadership was evident when as the Facility Director he turned a secondary care unit to a tertiary care unit, resulting in twenty-fold increase in revenue.
Dr Thukral has a passion for teaching and training young minds. He is a Certified Master Trainer for HIV AIDS and awareness. He has worked closely with States Aids Control Society (SACS) and has trained over five lakh people in HIV AIDS awareness in the past.
