Dr B.K. Rana is the Deputy Director of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), Quality Council of India. He is elected Vice Chairman of the prestigious Accreditation Council of International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). He has played a key role in establishing Asian Society for Quality in Healthcare (ASQua). He is a Board member of ASQua as well as Chairman of its Technical Committee. He is a member of European Pathway Association. Dr. Rana has been appointed as Adviser by Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI), USA. He is ISQua Accreditation Council nominee to WHO International Steering Committee for Patient Safety Solutions. He also serves as ISQua Lead Surveyor under its International Accreditation Program. He is life member of Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (ACBI) and Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohaematology (ISBTI). He was appointed External Consultant by World Health Organization to help setting up hospital accreditation system in Nepal. He is an Expert for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC). He is Member of Technical Committee of National GLP Compliance Monitoring Authority of India, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
